like playing the guitar isnāt making chord shapes with the left hand and strumming with the right. it is at first, but once you get good at it itās just playing C. and then once you get good at that, itās just playing blues
you know
a single motion
as above. so below. a single motion. as above. so below. a single motion.
on another subject, today iām writing this post inside an operating system that is running on a reactive graph i made last weekend. i made the graph last weekend. the operating system this weekend. inside the reactive operating system, there is a web browser. and in the web browser there is the cherries website editor. and in there, i am writing.
this week i lost several kilograms without noticing. this week I saw some people from the financial times. something I worked on there before I left is live now on the internet. if it went well nobody will ever notice. except maybe some journalists. hopefully it made more things better than it made worse.
it was nice to see people. apart from that I'm not sure I went outside. or ate, or really slept. you see, I'm building a reactive graph. the reactive graph. itās in C and TypeScript. itās good.
I love you more every day thank you goodbye forever
If youād like to read a good post, I'd recommend last weekās. Thatās an all timer. This will not be one of those.
Weāre starting to get into anniversaries now.
This week was peaceful. There was the part when nobody was around. On Monday I was reminded how lucky I am to have a job where sometimes itās my job to get on the phone with one of the most interesting people in the world and listen to them talk about something they care about.
On Wednesday I met Cyrus for lunch and gave him back his suitcase which had been in my apartment. We ate a whole chicken in Spitalfields and then he went to Wales.
On Thursday I went to Brighton to visit with Owen Lynch. We went on the CRAZY MOUSE, which is a kind of flat rollercoaster that looks out over the sea and sometimes it feels like itāll throw you right in. It was a four person ride so I grabbed two random people off the pier and paid them on so we could ride. The operatorās name was Ora. She was very nice and had a nose piercing.
Later, Owen and me wandered around and solved all of computing and for a moment I started to believe I understood something about category theory. Luckily this wore off after a good nightās sleep.
The rest of the time I watched Veronica Mars.
My new years resolution is going to be to become somebody that nobody has any complicated feelings about. And to invite some special boy to the Sadie Hawkins dance.
I was sent some writing in an e-mail, and the writing is very good. I've printed it out so I can read it on paper. In the future when I am less dead and have been fed and cared for, I will speak of it effusively.
